A boxed cherry cocktail pick set. This wonderful piece is made to contain maraschino cherries in the cut glass small bowl, surrounded by six removable silver plate cherry cocktail picks, topped with an enamel painted 'cherry', along with a sterling silver cherry spoon if the drink requires a mashed cherry or whole cherry sunk into it..
It is a classic piece of Art Deco inspired design, and highlighted by the pops of colour that was a distinctive part of the Art Deco period. The silk lining of the lid of the box has the retail name of Harrods inked into it. Harrods is the ultimate department store, at that time of the world. They carried only the finest items that the world had to offer, so any item bearing their name would certainly represent those standards, and this set is no exception.
This serving spoon was made in 1958 Birmingham, England by the silversmith Turner & Simpson, and is stamped on the base. The piece is in excellent condition, and is the perfect accessory for any home bar, and for the Manhattan fan.
